WHCA Woodstock Park Project Committee Meeting - September 2023

The Waverly Hills Civic Association Woodstock Park Project Committee will meet at Woodstock Park with County staff on Tuesday, September 19, from 5:30 pm to 7:00 pm.  We will gather near the picnic tables.  The purpose of the meeting will be to finalize the scope of a project to improve Woodstock Park that will be funded through the Arlington Neighborhoods Program.

Anticipated improvements to the Park under this project include adding partial fencing around the western and southern sides of the toddler playground; adding a shade canopy structure; adding low-level pathway lighting along the main path through the park; adding two power outlets; adding more Adirondack chairs; replacing and adding picnic tables; adding a lower basketball hoop for younger children; and seeding native plants under trees.  The final project plan will then be presented for approval by vote of the Civic Association’s members at a special Civic Association meeting that has been scheduled for October 11, 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm, at the Glebe Elementary School multipurpose room.
