The WHCA Woodstock Park Project Committee will meet by Zoom on Thursday, August 3rd, from 7pm to 9pm. The purpose of the meeting will be to determine what items should be included in a project to improve Woodstock Park that will be funded through the Arlington Neighborhoods Program.

About the Event
Potential improvements to the Park under this project may include adding fencing on the Woodstock Road side of the park or around parts of the playground area; adding a shade canopy structure; adding shade trees; adding low-level lighting; adding power outlets; adding more Adirondack chairs, benches, or picnic tables; drainage improvements; adding an artistic welcome structure; adding a lower basketball hoop for younger children; adding native plantings; replacing fencing on the north side of the Park; removal of invasive plants; and walkway repair. After a final plan for the project is formulated together with County staff, it will be presented for approval of the Civic Association by vote at a duly-noticed meeting.
