About the Event

On September 11th at 7pm ET, stormwater staff will host a Spout Run Joint Civic Association Meeting online via Microsoft Teams.  This meeting will provide an update on Flood Resilience planning and Capital Improvement Plan funding for the Spout Run watershed as well as the recently completed Risk Assessment and Management Plan, in addition to other stormwater initiatives.

The Spout Run watershed is one of the critical watersheds identified for stormwater capacity improvements. The watershed includes the Waverly Hills and Cherrydale Civic Associations, Woodstock Park, and other surrounding areas.

This watershed-scale, blended approach will include distributed detention, overland relief through property acquisition, and pipe expansion and tertiary infrastructure.  Over the past two years, Stormwater Staff and engineers have modeled a dozen conceptual plans for watershed-scale solutions that test a variety of blended engineering approaches, and are currently focusing on the performance, capacity and flexibility initially demonstrated by two alternate plans.
